Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 11, 2026. This policy explains how Move Index handles user information, including Google Calendar data used to power break-aware timing and meeting insights.
What We Collect
Move Index collects information you provide directly, such as profile settings, movement preferences, and session activity you create while using the product.
If you connect Google Calendar, Move Index may access read-only calendar event data from your primary Google Calendar, including event titles, start times, end times, and busy periods needed to understand when you have breaks and how long you have been in meetings.
How We Use Data
We use your information to personalize movement recommendations, estimate meeting load, detect break windows, and improve the quality of the Move Index experience.
Google Calendar data is used only to provide calendar-aware timing and insights inside Move Index. We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising.
Google User Data
When you connect Google Calendar, Move Index requests read-only access to calendar data through the `calendar.readonly` scope.
Move Index uses Google user data only to display calendar context, calculate meeting duration, identify open break windows, and trigger movement prompts at relevant times.
Move Index does not sell Google user data and does not use Google user data for generalized AI or machine learning model training.
Storage and Security
Move Index uses reasonable technical measures to protect your information. Calendar connection tokens may be stored in secure session mechanisms to maintain your connection and fetch calendar data on your behalf.
No system can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk and limit access to the minimum needed to operate the service.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers and infrastructure vendors only as needed to operate, secure, and support Move Index.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Move Index and its users.
Your Choices
You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from within Move Index or by removing Move Index access from your Google account permissions settings.
You can also stop using the product at any time. Disconnecting Google Calendar prevents future calendar reads, though previously generated product insights may still remain in local or service logs for a limited period.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
Questions about this Privacy Policy can be directed through Move Index project contact channels. You can also review the Terms of Service.
